If there is an eyebrow goddess she certainly had a hand in the creation of the Benefit brow line particularly the Benefit Precisely my brow eyebrow pencils.
For those of us who grew up in the noughties, Chola brows were in and I plucked my eyebrows within an inch of its life to get that perfect thin Villian arch. Sadly the trend has since passed and my days are spent looking for the perfect brow pencil that will give me natural looking thick brows without having to resort to micro-blading (yet).
Enter the benefit precisely my brow eyebrow pencil. Let me take a deep breath, calm down and tell you about this product.
Appearance and packaging
First, it’s a retractable pencil which comes in the typical benefit bright cardboard box and with the silver oddly shaped pencil inside. It also comes in 12 shades which mean it will match every conceivable skin tone. I wear the shade 5.
How to use
It works like any other retractable brow pencil, which means you twist the bottom to get the lead out and draw your brows on using light strokes. This pencil is so thin and firm it allows you to draw on hair-like brush strokes.
Pros
- It comes in 12 shades
- It is waterproof
- The pencil lead is thin which allows you to draw on realistic hairs
- Has a built-in spoolie-brush
Cons
- it’s expensive
- Not readily available in Nigeria
Who is it for
Anyone who wants to have gorgeous and realistic looking brows
Cost
$24/£21.50
Rating
Performance 5/5
This is the best brow pencil I have ever used, the thinness of the lead makes it so easy to draw on the brow hairs and control the application. It is firm enough that it does not smudge but also gives a great colour payoff.
Quality 5/5
Great packaging and fantastic performance it, lasts throughout the day once applied and the packaging also maintains its integrity and does not break off.
Value for money 3/5
This really depends, do I think it is worth the price absolutely. Are there other cheaper products that do a similarly great job yes.
Ease of use 5/5
It is very easy to use and not different than any other brow pencil
Overall rating 4/5
I love this brow pencil the shade range alone makes it one of a kind, in addition to its colour payoff and the fact it is long-lasting makes it a valuable addition to any makeup bag.
